Director’s Message

Dear Students, Parents, Educators, and Well-Wishers,
It gives me immense pride and heartfelt joy to welcome you to Pt. Brijkishore
Pateriya College of Education, Deori ; a name that stands today as a symbol of academic
diversity, visionary leadership, and transformative rural education.

Since our foundation in 2007, and the start of our first batch in 2009, our institution
has walked an extraordinary path from a small educational initiative to a multidisciplinary
educational hub. Through dedicated efforts, we have become the only college in the entire
Sagar district to offer such a wide variety of academic programs under one roof, serving the
unique needs and aspirations of rural students.

Our college proudly offers NCTE-approved flagship courses like B.Ed, B.A.B.Ed,
and B.Sc.B.Ed, developed in line with the progressive vision of the National Education
Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). These programs not only impart academic knowledge but also
nurture professional excellence, preparing students to become confident educators and
responsible citizens of tomorrow. Affiliated with Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi University, Sagar,
we also provide recognized undergraduate programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce
(B.A., B.Sc., B.Com), supported by a dedicated faculty and a student-centric learning
environment.

At the heart of our vision is a commitment to rural development through education.
We believe that the most effective way to empower communities is to educate and inspire
the youth who belong to them. Our goal has always been to bring quality education within
reach of every deserving student in the region – bridging the urban-rural gap and turning
local talent into national assets. Two of our most impactful initiatives reflect this
commitment. The ‘Parakh’ started in 2011, identifies and supports meritorious students
across the region through recognition and awards. Similarly, our annual ‘Pt. Mahesh
Prasad Mishra Shikshak Samman Samaroh’ celebrates over 5000 teachers or educators
every year, honoring their service and reinforcing our shared mission to elevate education
in every corner of society.

At BKP College Deori, our vision extends far beyond academics. We are equally
committed to preserving and enriching the environment that sustains us. In a remarkable
step towards eco-conscious education, we have implemented a rainwater harvesting
system within our campus that has significantly contributed to recharging groundwater
levels—benefiting not just our institution but also the entire surrounding area within a 600-
meter radius. Our efforts have shown measurable results, proving that education and
sustainability can—and must—go hand in hand. Additionally, we are proudly leading a
movement to make our campus completely polythene-free, cultivating habits of
environmental responsibility among our students. Every tree we plant, every drop of water
we conserve, and every plastic we replace reflects our unwavering commitment to a
greener, cleaner, and more conscious future. Because at BKP College, we don’t just educate
minds—we nurture citizens who care deeply for the world they live in.

Our success is reflected in the achievements of our students— five of whom secured
positions in the university merit list last year, including a gold medalist. But even more
than awards, we value the steady, quiet transformation we are bringing to thousands of
families by making higher education a reality, not a dream.

As we move forward with renewed energy and a future-focused mindset, we
continue to expand not only our academic offerings but also our service to the
community—extending support through additional professional programs and early
education channels in subtle yet meaningful ways.

To every student reading this, I say: you are the future of this region, and you carry
within you the potential to change the world. To the parents, I assure you of our full
commitment to your child’s growth and success. And to all well-wishers, educators, and
supporters— we thank you for walking with us on this journey.
